2 beef steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp butter
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Sear the Steaks:
Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
Sear steaks for 3-4 mins per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
Cook the Mushrooms:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 mins until golden.
Stir in minced garlic and cook 1 min more.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2-3 mins.
Add heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 mins until sauce thickens.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve & Garnish:
Slice the steaks and arrange on plates.
Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the steaks.
Garnish with fresh parsley for a final touch.
