Ingredients:
1–1.5 lb pork tenderloin
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup honey
3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp water + 1 tsp cornstarch (to thicken, optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
Set to 400°F (200°C).
2. Sear the Pork:
Season pork with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear pork on all sides until browned (about 2–3 min per side).
3. Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and pepper flakes.
Pour over the pork in the skillet or transfer pork and sauce to an oven-safe dish.
4. Bake:
Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Baste with sauce halfway through.
5. Optional Thickening:
Remove pork and let rest.
Pour sauce into a pan, bring to simmer.
Mix cornstarch and water, stir in to thicken sauce.
6. Serve:
Slice pork and drizzle sauce on top.
Great with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
