Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ cup onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
Place potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk and butter. Season with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Sprinkle flour over beef and stir to coat. Cook for another minute.
Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring. Add Worcestershire sauce, then let gravy simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve a scoop of mashed potatoes topped with plenty of beef and gravy. Enjoy right away while it’s warm and comforting.
