Ingredients
4 lobster tails, split in half lengthwise
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives
Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions
Set your oven to broil and let it preheat while you get everything ready. Take the lobster tails and, using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the top shell of each tail right through the center. Gently pull the lobster meat out and let it sit on top of the shell, but keep it attached at the base—this is what makes them look so impressive once cooked. Arrange the prepared lobster tails on a foil-lined baking sheet.
In a bowl, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, smoked paprika if you like, and a good pinch of salt. Now, brush the lobster meat generously with this lovely garlic butter mixture.
Slide the baking sheet onto the top rack and broil for 8 to 10 minutes. You’ll want the lobster meat to turn opaque and get just a touch of golden brown on top—the aroma is incredible! About halfway through, baste the lobster tails with a bit more garlic butter.
Once they’re done, take them out and spoon any extra melted butter from the pan over the lobster. Sprinkle with plenty of fresh parsley or chives, and serve them hot with lemon wedges on the side for that perfect finishing touch. Enjoy every bite!
