1 lb ground chicken

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 onion, finely diced

1 bell pepper (red, green, or yellow), finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1/4 cup tomato paste

1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Toasted buns, for serving

Optional toppings: sliced pickles, coleslaw, cheese

1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 3–4 minutes, until softened.

2. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add the ground chicken, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.

4. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Stir well to combine.

5. Pour in the chicken broth and reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened to your liking. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Toast the buns while the mixture simmers, for extra flavor and texture.

7. Assemble your Sloppy Joes by spooning the spicy chicken mixture onto buns. Add any desired toppings.
