Ingredients:
2 racks of pork baby back ribs (about 4–5 pounds)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
1 ½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
Instructions:
1. Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack inside (optional for better airflow).
2. Prepare the Ribs:
Remove the thin silver membrane from the back of the ribs (for tenderness).
Rub olive oil over the ribs.
In a bowl, mix all dry spices together.
Generously rub the spice mix all over both sides of the ribs.
3. Bake Low and Slow:
Wrap ribs tightly in foil (you can double wrap for extra juiciness).
Place on the baking sheet and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender and nearly falling apart.
4. Add BBQ Sauce:
Carefully unwrap ribs. Brush BBQ sauce generously on both sides.
Increase oven temp to 425°F (220°C) or switch to broil.
Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, or broil for 5–7 minutes until caramelized and sticky.
5. Rest & Serve:
Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes.
Slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce!
