Ingredients (Serves 2):
2 small steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or flank)
2 large eggs
1 ripe avocado, sliced or mashed
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella)
1 tbsp butter or olive oil (for cooking)
Salt & pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika or chili powder (optional)
Fresh herbs (chives or parsley, optional)
Hot sauce or salsa (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Steak:
Season steaks on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil.
Cook steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).
Let them rest, then slice thinly against the grain.
2. Cook the Eggs:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
Add butter if needed, and cook eggs to your liking (fried, sunny-side-up, or scrambled).
Season with salt and pepper.
3. Assemble the Plate:
Add steak slices and eggs to a plate.
Add sliced or mashed avocado on the side or under the eggs.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top (let it melt slightly over the hot food).
Garnish with herbs and optional hot sauce.
