Ingredients:
1/2 cup raw honey
8 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tsp fresh ginger flakes (or finely grated ginger)
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp sriracha sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cold water
Instructions:
1. Sauté Aromatics
In a small saucepan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (but not browned).
2. Add Sauce Ingredients
Stir in the honey, apple cider vinegar, sriracha, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle simmer.
3. Thicken the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry. Slowly stir the slurry into the simmering sauce.
4. Simmer
Continue to cook for 2–3 more minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
5. Cool Slightly & Use
Remove from heat and let cool a bit before drizzling. Use warm over crispy chicken, stir-fried vegetables, shrimp, or even grilled tofu.
