Shrimp and Sausage Cabbage Bowl with Rice

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

12 oz smoked sausage, sliced

½ head green cabbage, chopped

1 small onion, sliced

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 carrot, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp smoked paprika (optional for extra flavor)

Cooked rice, for serving

1. Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

2. Sauté the Veggies
In the same pan, add the remaining oil. Sauté onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.

3. Add Cabbage
Add chopped cabbage to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it wilts and softens.

4. Add Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the pan. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Cook for 3–4 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and cooked through.

5. Combine Everything
Return the sausage to the pan and toss everything together. Let it all cook for 1–2 more minutes so the flavors blend.

6. Serve
Spoon over bowls of hot rice and enjoy!
