Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup orange juice (fresh or bottled)

1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry puree (strained)

1/2 cup lime juice (fresh for best flavor)

Food coloring (optional: orange, pink/red, green)

1. Make the base:

In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until sugar is completely dissolved.

Chill the base for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

2. Divide and flavor:

Split the chilled base into three equal portions.

In bowl 1, mix in orange juice (add orange food coloring if desired).

In bowl 2, mix in raspberry or strawberry puree (add pink/red coloring).

In bowl 3, mix in lime juice (add green food coloring).

3. Churn each flavor:

One at a time, churn each flavored mixture in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

After each batch finishes, transfer it to a container and freeze until all flavors are ready.

4. Layer for rainbow effect:

Once all flavors are churned and semi-firm, layer them in a loaf pan or freezer-safe container.

Gently swirl with a knife for a marble effect, or leave in distinct layers.

Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
