Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup milk
½ cup Bisquick (or similar baking mix)
2 eggs
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
2. Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
3. Season: Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Simmer for a couple of minutes, then pour mixture into the greased pie dish.
4. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar evenly over the beef mixture.
5. Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together milk, Bisquick, and eggs until smooth. Pour this over the beef and cheese.
6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
7. Cool slightly, then slice and serve — maybe with pickles or a side salad!
