Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional but recommended)
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for searing)
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Fresh lemon slices and chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Make the marinade/sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Add red pepper flakes if using.
2. Marinate the salmon (optional)
Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour half of the marinade over the fillets and let sit for 15–30 minutes (optional for more flavor).
3. Cook the salmon
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add salmon fillets (skin-side down if they have skin) and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked to your liking.
4. Add the sauce
Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes until slightly thickened and coats the salmon.
5. Serve
Plate the salmon and drizzle with the sauce. Garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley.
