1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix

2 lbs ground beef

3/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs

2 large eggs

3/4 cup water (or milk for a richer flavor)

1/3 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping, optional)

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, eggs, water (or milk), and ketchup. Mix until evenly combined—don’t overmix or the meatloaf will be dense.

3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish or loaf pan.

4. If desired, spread extra ketchup over the top for a tangy glaze.

5. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

6. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing to keep the juices in.
