8 slices of deli ham
8 sticks of mozzarella cheese (or any cheese you like)
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup flour
1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
1 tablespoon butter or oil (for pan frying)
Optional: Garlic powder, dried herbs, or chili flakes for seasoning
Instructions:
1. Flatten Bread:
Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
2. Assemble Rolls:
Lay a slice of ham on the bread, place a cheese stick at one end, and roll it up tightly. Press edges to seal.
3. Bread the Rolls:
Roll each stick in flour, dip into beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat egg and breadcrumb coating.
4. Cook:
Pan-Fry: Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the sticks, turning until golden and crispy on all sides.
OR
Air Fry: Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 7–9 minutes, until golden and crisp.
OR
Bake: Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
5. Serve:
Serve hot with ketchup, honey mustard, or marinara sauce for dipping.
