Ingredients:
4 large croissants (fresh or day-old, halved)
4–6 slices of deli ham (or leftover cooked ham)
4 slices of Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, cheddar, or your favorite melting cheese)
2 tbsp Dijon mustard or honey mustard (optional)
1 tbsp butter (for toasting or brushing)
1 egg (optional, for egg wash if baking)
Instructions:
Option 1: Warm & Toasted (Pan or Oven)
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) or heat a skillet over medium heat.
2. Slice croissants in half horizontally.
3. Spread mustard on the inside if using.
4. Layer ham and cheese inside each croissant.
5. Option A – Skillet:
Melt a little butter in the pan.
Add croissants and cover with a lid or foil.
Toast until golden and cheese is melted (about 3–5 min).
6. Option B – Oven:
Place croissants on a baking tray.
Optional: Brush tops with beaten egg for shine.
Bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and croissants are crisp.
