Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp (28g) butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Season the Steak:
Pat the steak pieces dry with a paper towel.
Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
2. Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add 2 tbsp of butter and let it melt.
Add the steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding).
Sear for 2–3 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Remove steak bites and garlic from the pan and set aside.
3. Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
Add 1 tbsp butter, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir well, scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
Add Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens (about 3–5 minutes).
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if using.
4. Combine & Serve:
Return the steak bites and garlic to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
Simmer for 1–2 minutes, just to warm everything through.
Garnish with parsley if desired.
