STEP 1: PREPARE THE SCALLOPS
Pat Dry: Ensure the scallops are thoroughly dried with paper towels to achieve a nice sear.
Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the scallops.

STEP 2: COOK THE SCALLOPS
Heat Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Sear Scallops: Once the oil is hot, add the scallops in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

STEP 3: MAKE THE GARLIC BUTTER
Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Dressing: Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes, if using. Mix well.

STEP 4: COMBINE AND SERVE
Return Scallops: Add the scallops back to the skillet, tossing them gently in the garlic butter sauce.
Garnish: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
