1/2 cup granulated sugar
5 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mixture:
In a saucepan, whisk together the orange juice, sugar, and cornstarch until fully dissolved and smooth.
2. Cook:
Place the pan over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring constantly. It will begin to thicken after 5–7 minutes. Keep stirring until it becomes thick and glossy like a gel.
3. Set the Candy:
Pour the thickened mixture into a greased or parchment-lined small square dish (8×8-inch or similar). Smooth the surface and let it cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until fully set.
4. Cut & Serve:
Once firm, remove from the dish and cut into bite-sized squares. Optionally, you can dust them lightly with extra cornstarch or powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
