Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling into the center. Moisten the edges with a little water using your finger.
3. Seal the wontons:
Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle or a little pouch, pressing the edges firmly to seal completely and avoid leaking.
4. Heat the oil:
Pour vegetable oil into a deep frying pan or pot to about 2 inches deep. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry the wontons:
Carefully add the filled wontons in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Turn them occasionally for even browning.
6. Drain and serve:
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
