Ingredients:

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup lemon juice (fresh is best)

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, adds richness)

2 tbsp brown sugar or honey (optional, for slight sweetness)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1–2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley – optional)

1. Mix Marinade:
In a bowl or jar, whisk together all ingredients until well combined.

2. Marinate Steak:
Place steaks in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over, ensuring all sides are coated. Seal and refrigerate.

3. Marinating Time:

Minimum: 30 minutes

Ideal: 4–8 hours

Max: 24 hours (especially for tougher cuts like flank or skirt steak)

4. Cook:
Remove steak from marinade, pat dry, and grill, pan-sear, or broil to your preferred doneness. Let rest before slicing.
