3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water or chicken broth
1 tsp sesame oil
Optional: 1 tsp grated ginger & 1 clove garlic (minced)
Instructions:
Whisk all together in a bowl. Cook in skillet until thickened (1–2 minutes after adding to the chicken & veggies).
Chinese Lemon Chicken Sauce
Bright, tangy, slightly sweet – used for crispy fried chicken.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
Optional: pinch of turmeric (for color)
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, whisk until thickened and glossy. Pour over fried chicken.

Classic sweet and savory Japanese-style glaze.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin (or rice vinegar + 1 tsp sugar)
2 tbsp sake (or skip)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp grated ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
Instructions:
Combine all (except cornstarch) in a pan. Simmer 5 mins. Add slurry, cook till thick. Brush on grilled chicken or simmer with cooked chicken.

Sticky, sweet, and garlicky with toasted sesame flavor.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
Simmer everything (except cornstarch slurry). Once warm, whisk in slurry and stir until thick and glossy. Toss with crispy chicken and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
