1. Season the seafood: Rub Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper onto both sides of the salmon and shrimp.
2. Cook the salmon:
◦ Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
◦ Add the salmon fillets and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Sauté the shrimp:
◦ In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Set aside with the salmon.
4. Make the creamy garlic herb sauce:
◦ Melt 3 tablespoons butter in the skillet.
◦ Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
◦ Pour in the cream and broth, stirring constantly.
◦ Stir in Parmesan, parsley, thyme, and Cajun seasoning. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
◦ Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Assemble the dish:
◦ Return the cooked salmon and shrimp to the skillet.
◦ Spoon sauce over the top and let everything heat through for 1–2 minutes.
6. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh herbs if desired.
