Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven or Pan
If baking, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
If pan-searing, heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry.
Rub each fillet with Cajun seasoning, coating all sides well.
3. Make the Honey Butter
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, honey, and lemon juice until smooth.
4. Cook the Salmon
Pan-Sear Option:
Add a bit of oil to your skillet and cook the salmon skin-side down (if it has skin) for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes, depending on thickness.
Oven Option:
Place seasoned salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
5. Add the Honey Butter
During the last minute of cooking, spoon the honey butter over the salmon to melt and glaze.
Or, melt the butter mixture separately and drizzle over the cooked salmon before serving.
6. Serve
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, lemon slices, or steamed vegetables.
