Ingredients:
For the Salmon:
4 salmon fillets (skin-on or off)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade – see below)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional for a bright touch)
For the Honey Butter Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2–3 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
1 clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Pinch of red pepper flakes (for extra heat)
Optional Cajun Seasoning Mix (if making your own):
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Instructions:
1. Prep the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry.
Rub both sides with Cajun seasoning, a bit of salt, pepper, and olive oil.
2. Sear the Salmon:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a bit of oil.
Place salmon in the skillet, skin side down if applicable.
Cook for 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness), until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Honey Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
Add butter, honey, garlic, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Stir until melted and bubbly (about 1 minute).
4. Glaze & Serve:
Return the salmon to the pan. Spoon the honey butter sauce over the salmon until fully glazed and heated through (1–2 minutes).
Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
