1½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (or bottled lemon juice)
5 cups cold water
1½ cups sugar
2 lemons, sliced (for garnish)
Ice, to serve

1. Make a simple syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine 1½ cups sugar with 1 cup water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Let it cool.
2. Mix the lemonade:
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, and the remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
3. Add garnish and serve:
Add lemon slices and plenty of ice to the pitcher or individual glasses. Serve cold and enjoy!
