Ingredients:
12 slices of bacon
12 mozzarella sticks (string cheese works great)
¼ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
Optional: toothpicks to secure the wraps
Optional: chopped parsley or ranch dip for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven (or Air Fryer):
Oven: 400°F (200°C)
Air Fryer: 375°F (190°C)
2. Wrap the Cheese:
Tightly wrap each mozzarella stick with one slice of bacon. Slightly overlap the bacon to help seal the cheese in. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
3. Brush with BBQ Sauce:
Lightly brush each bacon-wrapped stick with BBQ sauce. Save some for basting later.
4. Bake or Air Fry:
Oven: Place on a wire rack over a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
Air Fryer: Cook for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway.
5. Baste & Finish:
During the last 5 minutes, brush with more BBQ sauce to glaze and caramelize.
6. Serve Hot:
Let cool slightly so the cheese doesn’t ooze out, then serve with ranch, extra BBQ sauce, or a spicy dip!
