For the Brownies:

2 large eggs

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Optional Add-ins:

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/2 cup chocolate chips

For the Frosting (Optional Cream Cheese Frosting):

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish, or line it with parchment paper.

2. Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together:

Mashed bananas

Eggs

Sugar

Sour cream

Melted butter

Vanilla extract

3. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk:

Flour

Baking powder

Baking soda

Salt

4. Combine
Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.

5. Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared dish.

For a 9×9 pan: Bake for 35–40 minutes

For a 9×13 pan: Bake for 25–30 minutes
Check with a toothpick—it should come out clean or with moist crumbs.

6. Cool Completely before frosting.
