For the Brownie Base:

2 large eggs

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Optional (but delicious):

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/2 cup chocolate chips

For the Frosting (optional):

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Make the batter:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until light. Mix in the mashed bananas, melted butter, and vanilla.
Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.

3. Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

4. Optional Frosting:
While brownies cool, make the frosting by melting butter in a small saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and milk, bring to a boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Let cool slightly, then whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
