8 oz (about 2 ½ cups) uncooked pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni work great)

1 lb ground beef

6 strips bacon, chopped

½ onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp yellow mustard (optional, for cheeseburger flavor)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with juices (or use 1 cup tomato sauce)

½ cup beef broth (or water)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for extra gooeyness)

¼ cup sour cream or cream cheese (for creaminess)

Salt and pepper to taste

1. Cook Pasta:

Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook Bacon:

In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels. Leave about 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat in the pan.

3. Brown Beef & Veggies:

In the same pan, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.

Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.

Stir in ketchup, mustard (if using), Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Combine:

Stir in the cooked pasta, bacon (reserve a little for topping), and cheeses.

Mix in sour cream or cream cheese for a creamy finish. Stir until everything is melted and combined.

5. Serve:

Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish with parsley, green onions, and the reserved bacon.
