Ingredients:
4 slices sourdough bread
1 ripe avocado, sliced
1 large tomato, sliced
4 slices fresh mozzarella (or shredded mozzarella)
2 tbsp butter (for grilling)
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: Fresh basil leaves or a sprinkle of garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Prep the Sandwiches
Lay out the sourdough slices.
On two slices, layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and avocado slices.
Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Add fresh basil if using.
Top with the other slices of bread to form sandwiches.
2. Butter the Bread
Spread butter on the outside of each slice of bread (top and bottom of the sandwich).
3. Grill It
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
4. Serve
Slice in half and enjoy warm!
