4 cups chopped apples (about 4-5 apples)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1. Begin by chopping the apples into small pieces.
2. In a large pot, combine the chopped apples with lemon juice, stirring to coat evenly.
3. Add both brown sugar and granulated sugar to the pot, mixing well.
