Ingredients:
1 box vanilla wafers
6 to 8 ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups cold milk
1 (5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
1. Make the pudding base:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix for about 2 minutes until it starts to thicken. Set aside.
2. Prepare the creamy mixture:
In another large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add in the sweetened condensed milk and continue beating until well combined and silky.
3. Combine layers:
Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture, then fold in the prepared pudding mixture until smooth and fully combined.
4. Assemble the pudding:
In a large trifle dish or a 9×13-inch pan, place a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom. Top with a layer of sliced bananas. Spread about a third of the pudding mixture on top. Repeat layers until you’ve used all the ingredients, ending with pudding on top.
5. Chill:
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight so the flavors meld and the cookies soften.
6. Serve:
Garnish with extra vanilla wafers or banana slices if desired, and enjoy!
