Homemade Pizza Sauce

Rich, thick, and perfect for pizza crusts

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl or saucepan until smooth.

2. Simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes to thicken (optional, for deeper flavor).

3. Let cool before spreading on pizza dough.

Homemade Marinara Sauce

Versatile, great for pasta or dipping

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Fresh basil or 1 tsp dried basil

Instructions:

1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and add spices.

4. Simmer uncovered for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Add fresh basil at the end (if using). Blend for a smoother texture if desired.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, sliced

1/2 to 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to spice level)

Salt to taste

1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Fresh parsley or basil (optional for garnish)
