Ingredients:
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar or a squeeze of lemon juice (for balance)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prepare Brussels sprouts: Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
3. Add bacon: Spread the sprouts on a baking sheet and sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over them.
4. Roast: Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until the sprouts are crispy and caramelized and the bacon is fully cooked.
5. Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the honey and maple syrup. Drizzle it over the hot sprouts right after they come out of the oven. Toss well to coat.
6. Optional: Add a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice to cut the sweetness and enhance flavor.
7. Serve hot as a side dish or appetizer.
