Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups ketchup

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Optional: a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat

Optional: 1 teaspoon raisin paste or prune puree (adds depth like the original)

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients.

2. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

3. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

4. Let it cool, then pour into a jar or bottle.

5. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
