Step 1:
In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to let the garlic burn, as it can turn bitter.

Step 2:
Add the ground beef or beef strips to the skillet. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula if using ground beef. If there’s excess fat, drain it off to keep the tacos from becoming greasy.

Step 3:
Once the beef is cooked, stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the beef is thoroughly coated in the sauce. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 4:

While the beef is simmering, prepare the taco sauce. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Set aside for later use.

Step 5:
To assemble the tacos, warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave until pliable. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla, then drizzle the prepared taco sauce generously over the top. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and finish with fresh cilantro, if desired. Fold the tacos and serve immediately.
