Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
For the Maple Balsamic Glaze:
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions:
1. Prep the Steak:
Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper generously.
2. Sear the Steak Bites:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add steak cubes in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still juicy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Glaze:
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt.
Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes.
Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
4. Coat the Steak:
Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them well in the glaze.
Let them cook for another 1–2 minutes, just until heated through and sticky.
5. Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or toothpicks for appetizers.
