2 pounds ground beef
28-ounce bag of shoestring French fries
10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
10.5-ounce can cheddar cheese soup
½ yellow onion, diced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus more if desired)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook Beef Mixture
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
3. Add Soups & Seasoning
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Assemble the Casserole
In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly. Top with a layer of frozen shoestring French fries.
5. Bake
Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the fries are golden and crispy.
6. Add Cheese Topping
Sprinkle the ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese over the top and return to the oven for an additional 5–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
