Ingredients:

For the steak bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the cheesy smashed potatoes:
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste

For the potatoes: Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain and mash them with butter, sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper.
For the steak bites: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper, then cook for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
Lower the heat and add the garlic and butter, cooking for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Serve the steak bites over a bed of cheesy smashed potatoes and garnish with chopped parsley.
