Shrimp – 300g (peeled and deveined)
Garlic – 3 cloves (finely chopped)
Dried chili – 3-5 pieces (adjust to taste)
Chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Cooking oil – for frying
Optional: A splash of lime or lemon juice for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Shrimp:
Peel and devein the shrimp.
Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
Marinate with 1/2 teaspoon of cooking oil, a pinch of salt, and a bit of pepper. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
2. Prepare the Aromatics:
Finely chop the garlic.
Break dried chilies into smaller pieces (remove seeds if you want it less spicy).
3. Cooking:
Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped garlic and dried chili. Stir-fry until fragrant and the garlic turns golden.
Add the marinated shrimp.
Stir-fry until shrimp turns pink and is cooked through (about 2–3 minutes).
Sprinkle in chili powder, remaining salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat evenly.
4. Serve:
Remove from heat.
Garnish with a squeeze of lime or fresh herbs if desired.
Serve hot with steamed rice or as an appetizer.
